Yokai

I suppose i'm in the phase of re-evaluating alot of my work, this is the updated version of an older piece. The 1st version had some issues that I had to rectify. I'm pretty happy with it at this point. Hope you like!

Theme: I originally was going with "Yoma" which are creatures of monsters in Japanese folklore but Yokai seemed more fitting, maybe she's a mix between the two. The story...Once upon a time, some residents of this town committed brutal crimes to a young girl and her family. The girl survived her ordeal and wandered into a forest stumbling onto a strange shrine and in an desperate act of retribution, made an offering of her soul to this entity in exchange for revenge for on the people responsible for her and her family's suffering. What's seen here is depicting this entity who has possessed the girl at this point moves through the village dispatching the ones responsible as well as anyone foolish enough to try to stop her. Various bladed weapons and arrows seemingly appear from nowhere and viciously impale her victims.

Yōkai (妖怪, "strange apparition") are a class of supernatural entities and spirits in Japanese folklore. The word yōkai is composed of the kanji for "attractive; calamity" and "apparition; mystery; suspicious." Yōkai are also referred to as ayakashi (あやかし), mononoke (物の怪) or mamono (魔物).
